Terms of Service
Effective date: April 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Volocode Studio website at volocode-studio.com (the “Site”) and to any project enquiries you send us through it. Paid engagements are governed by a separate signed agreement (a Statement of Work or contract); these Terms cover only the Site itself.
1. Acceptance
By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
2. Who we are
Volocode Studio is a small software development studio that builds websites, web apps, dashboards, platforms, and internal tools for early-stage and growing businesses. We are based remotely; the country of incorporation is shown on our contact page (or our signed proposals).
3. Use of the Site
You agree not to:
- Use the Site in ways that violate any law or third-party right.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers, systems, or accounts.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site without written permission.
- Send us unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or malicious content via our forms.
- Scrape the Site for purposes incompatible with our robots policy.
4. Enquiries and proposals
When you submit a project enquiry, you are inviting us to respond, not entering a contract. We may decline any project at our discretion. If we proceed, we will send you a written proposal or Statement of Work that sets out scope, deliverables, timeline, and price. A project becomes binding only when both parties sign that proposal.
5. Intellectual property
5.1 Our content
The Site, its design, logo, copy, illustrations, and code are owned by Volocode Studio or our licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or repurpose them without our prior written consent, except for ordinary web-browsing copies in your browser cache.
5.2 Client deliverables
Ownership of work we produce for clients is set out in the signed engagement. Unless we agree otherwise, on full payment we transfer rights in the bespoke deliverables to the client, while retaining ownership of our pre-existing tooling, libraries, and methodologies.
6. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party services (Calendly, Upwork, GitHub, etc.). We don't control those services and aren't responsible for their content or practices. Their terms govern your use of them.
7. No warranty
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate and online, but we don't warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. Information on the Site is general; it is not professional advice tailored to your situation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Volocode Studio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site itself (as opposed to a signed client engagement, which has its own liability terms) is capped at €100.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that can't be limited by applicable law (for example, for fraud or wilful misconduct).
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims arising out of your breach of these Terms or your unlawful use of the Site.
10. Changes to the Site and Terms
We may update the Site or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Effective date” above. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Volocode Studio is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought before the competent courts of that country, unless mandatory consumer-protection law gives you a different forum.
